Toronto, Canada - Bookkeeper

Position Description  

It is critical that we know where we stand today in terms of our financial position and the role of bookkeeper is important in generating these results.

As a bookkeeper, you will be directly reportable to the Financial Controller.


Be responsible for financial record-keeping of all activities  

Process payables, receivables and payroll  

Make journal entries  

Prepare tax, GST, HST, PST, EHT returns, as required  

Complete bank and other account reconciliations  

Maintain records for projects

Work with cloud accounting software  

Generate financial reports  

Complete other accounting related duties, as required  


A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an accounting diploma equivalent for bookkeeper level  

Possess good understanding of accounting principles and possess basic accounting skills A working knowledge of cloud accounting software, such as QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook) as well as an interest in technology and innovation  

Quick learning capacity  

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,  

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines  

Strong organizational and planning skills  

Strong interpersonal skills, professional manner and ability to work independently and in a team environment  

Strong oral and written communication skills
