Overview of Channel Assist

As a member of ChannelAssist you will be working for a dynamic, fast growing and privately owned Canadian software company providing end to end development and management of channel engagement programs. Since 2002 we have helped companies from mid-size to enterprise increase channel revenue by optimizing sales rep engagement and visibility.

You will be reporting to the VP, Business Development who is responsible for the overall growth of the business. Your responsibilities will be to generate revenue through the addition of new clients. If you’re full of energy and get excited over leads and PO’s, you’ll fit in here just fine. Over the past year, we re-engineered our 20year old company into start up mode. We’ve had more new customers in the past year than we had over the past 10 years.

Our Sales Development Rep is our future Sales Executive. We want to hear from candidates who are interested in progressing through our sales ranks, while earning uncapped bonuses/commissions and moving on to become closers. Hiring and promoting from within is always choice number one.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Make outbound calls to prospects to identify high quality opportunities
  • Research target companies online in order to pre-qualify as sales opportunities
  • Demonstrate the value propositions of our software platform and services
  • Manage a high volume of leads in Hubspot to accurately and efficiently build pipeline
  • Excel at qualifying each opportunity properly to ensure the right level of follow up
  • Schedule discovery calls for the account executive in the sales team
  • Follow up on various marketing campaigns and events with the goal of sourcing additional qualified leads
  • Continuously develop sales and technology skills


Required Skills and Attributes:

  • 2 - 3 years of outbound calling experience
  • Experience working in a consultative sales role a plus
  • Knowledge of tech and path to market in the tech industry
  • Desire to move into a role of account executive
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
  • Proven track record of accomplishments and over-achievement of goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree, College Diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
